Honor Rules
From Riddled in Darkness | Wiki Game Resource
These are the basic honor rules that guide how we interact with each other on the board. There are specific based rules that deal with who to approach for what reasons. The basic 10 are simple, all other rules are called ‘House Rules’ and are how to play each specific different race. Those will be mentioned within the individual sections.
- Be Courteous to all Players, Respect above all.
- Admin, Guardians, and especially ST's have all final say.
- Write Worthwhile, Grammar and multiple lines (3 minimum) satisfies basic requirements for playing in our game.
- Any posts that are not considered PG or PG13 are not permitted on the board, and everyone is required to Verify they are 18+ to access the restricted section.
- No abandoning threads, finish everything you begin.
- 4 character Cap Per Player, wash, re-use, and Recycle (no exceptions). Along the same lines, Players may have only one In-Character position of power, leaving space for other player's to play against you.
- No Metagaming. If you can not provide a thread scene where your character was told specific information directly you can be suspended from the game for a week.
- 'I Quit' messages will be deleted and/or moved into a private forum to review by Admin. If you are angry take 24 hours before you hit our board with whatever upsets you. Sometime a time-out is better than burning bridges.
- Site Owner has the right to change venues, forums, and the entirety of the theme for the website. Changes do happen without notice, but we will attempt to notify you ahead of time.
- Do not message Admin, Guardians, or Storytellers in private or outside of the site with questions. Those belong in the player assistance section.
What to do if someone breaks the honor rules
If you find anyone who is not following our honor rules there are a few options. On the bottom of every thread there is a link called ‘Report to Administration’ click on that and send a detailed note of what has occurred and why you are reporting it.
The second preferred action is to contact a guardian if working out n agreement between yourself and the other player is not an option. Their job is to mediate problems to prevent larger ones and we would rather have players cooperate than to take a harder action.
Do not try to contact a guardian or administrator through messengers or email off of the website. If there is an issue it needs to be handled directly through our site. Guardians and Administrators have personal lives that should be respected and kept separate from the game.
You may find an Admin to Report to under Guardians and Storytellers.
