Patiently waiting for any form of updates from the staff...
I have seen no new rules updates, no new guidelines, no new... well.. anything letting players know things about the game.
for instance the changeling roleplay came to a halt... when our changelings asked for storyteller guidance on where the freeholds of venice were hidden...
other roleplay as well has come to a halt because we as players just are not certain whats going on...
concerned...
is this site dead...
i had assumed it was dead... then i get emails on three email accounts telling me COME PLAY we paid for it come play... but there is nothing new to work with, no guidance, and all the story set in motion was .. set in motion by me... while i was storyteller...
so... guidance... point... and i shall follow.

I have tried to answer my own questions by reading over the site, but either I missed it out-right or could not find the answers.
Are players allowed to pick a bloodline or is it restricted to the basic clans?
Are the players of the houses restricted to the clans for the house? ie House of Worms is made of only Nosferatu
Should a new player find an existing player for a Sire, or can it be fabricated as part of the back story?
I think that is all for the moment, but it would be a great help to my character creation process. Thank you in advance!

Greetings all! I am new to the site and thought it wise to introduce myself. OOC I am Faelyn, I hope to make a character and join in the World. More than likely I shall use Kareel for my IC name. I am fairly new to online RPing, but it is increasingly hard to find a regular group with with to play. So, here I am in search of like-minded gamers.
I have been playing in the WoD system for approximately ten years. I am most familiar with VtM, VtR, and WoD. I have dabbled in HtV, CtL, PtC, and once upon a time DtF. I have an IRC client and would love to find out which server/channel everyone uses.
I shall try to not ramble any further, so suffice to say hello and looking forward to meeting you!

For a few different reasons the game has been passed over from Vittoria (Tiffany) to me. She will still be on as an admin, of course, and the game will basically still be the same. There are a few things I am considering changeing, and will most likely be put to a vote before anything is implimented. Since the game is still in its "development" stage (and the changes arn't huge) this shouldn't cause issues.
One thing I have decided to do is make a few rp rooms on IRC. Now I know this has been tried in the past, and not that many people uitlized IRC, but I want to try again. I have been trying to recruit new players to the game (as I encourage you to do!), but most of the people I have found that are interested would rather play on IRC. So I am going to give the option of playing on either venue. Anything that does occur on IRC, will be posted in the appropriate forums on the boards.
Currently I have only made one room:
#riddled_darkness_ooc on the Darkmyst server.
If you have any questions on how to get/use IRC, just pm me. Though there are many easy to use (and free!) programs avaliable such as mIRC, Chatzilla, Perch, Mibbit, etc...
I hope to get the game out of the "soft rp" stage and get some drama going!

Poveglia - The Scariest Island Ever!
"Poveglia is a small island floating in the lagoons of Venice. In stark contrast to the beauty of its surroundings, the island is a festering blemish. The waves reluctantly lapping its darkened shores will often carry away the polished remains of human bones. When the first outbreak of bubonic plague swept through Europe, the number of dead and dying in the city of Venice became unbearable. The bodies were piling up, the stench was oppressive, and something had to be done. The local authorities decided to use Poveglia as a dumping ground for the diseased bodies.
The dead were hauled to the island and dumped in large pits or burned on huge bonfires. As the plague tightened its grip, people panicked, and those showing the slightest symptoms of the Black Death were dragged screaming from their homes. These living victims, including children and babies, were taken to the island and thrown into the pits of rotting corpses, where they were left to die in agony. As many as 160,00 tormented bodies were disposed of over the years."
